9 Years of Waiting, Rifky Alhabsyi Cries During the Azan for His First Child

Happiness envelops the couple Rifky Alhabsyi and Yulia Rahmayani. After a long wait of nine years of marriage, they were finally blessed with their first child, a baby boy named Muhammad Rafasya Zayyan Alhabsyi.

Their child was born on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 08:05 WIB at Primaya Evasari Hospital, East Jakarta. The tiny baby was born weighing 2.455 kilograms and measuring 45 centimeters through an ERACS method cesarean section.

1. A Nine-Year Wait

Rifky and his wife's journey to have children has not been easy. They had to go through various fertility processes, including the IVF program, after experiencing an ectopic pregnancy in 2018.

2. At One Point, We Gave Up

Rifky admitted that he had reached a point of despair. However, in the midst of that situation, he and his wife chose to keep trying while surrendering everything to God.

"Yulia and I have been waiting for 9 years. We have experienced ups and downs throughout the process, and even thought, 'Well, whatever happens, happens. If we are not given a child, then maybe it's just not meant to be.' We have been at that point," said Rifky Alhabsy when met at a hospital in Rawasari, Central Jakarta, on Monday (18/5).

3. Rifky Consults with Many Doctors

Nevertheless, the couple did not stop searching for a way. Rifky revealed that they consulted with many doctors until they finally found hope through the IVF program.

"But once again we ask Allah, we pray, and keep trying. If we count it, we have met with seven doctors and one professor, in three different hospitals. We have been going through this process since 2018," he added.

4. Rifky Accompanies His Wife in the Operating Room

The most emotional moment occurred when Rifky accompanied his wife in the operating room. The 35-year-old actor admitted he couldn't hold back tears when he first saw their son born into the world.

"Honestly, it has been 9 years. At that moment, I was leaning against the wall crying, oh Allah, this is my child, you know. It was really overwhelming," said Rifky.

5. Moved When I Called the Adhan

The feeling of emotion became even stronger when he called the adhan for his child. Rifky even admitted that his voice trembled because he was holding back tears after a long wait that was finally paid off.

"Well, it was all mixed up until my voice trembled while calling the adhan, you know. The voice was like there was crying, so alhamdulillah after 9 years, I finally understand. So happy, you know," he continued.

6. The Baby's Condition Made Us Worry

On the other hand, the baby's condition made the couple worried because the fetus's weight was considered small. The doctor even prepared for the possibility that the baby would need to enter the NICU after birth. However, that worry eventually disappeared.

7. Now the Baby is in Good Health

Their baby was born in good health and does not need intensive care. Rifky hopes that his struggle with Yulia can inspire other couples who are trying to have children.

"Don't give up, pray, and keep trying. Okay, this is not as easy as we talk about. But indeed, all processes must be gone through," concluded Rifky.
