Aaliyah Massaid Dares to Hoist the Red and White Flag in Water!

Aaliyah Massaid has been chosen to hoist the red and white flag in this year's Indonesian Independence Day. This beautiful girl will be tasked with hoisting the flag in water at Sea World Indonesia. In order to ensure the smoothness of her task this time, Aaliyah has undergone several training sessions for flag hoisting in water.

Aaliyah herself admitted that she was initially afraid to hoist the flag in water. However, thanks to the skilled trainers available, this 17-year-old girl is determined to carry out her duty.

Aaliyah has been practicing accompanied by skilled trainers, but she still feels nervous. "Afraid of disappointing, the training is not just once, there will be more tomorrow. Hopefully, it will become smoother," said Aaliyah.

On this training occasion, she was accompanied by her mother and sister. Reza Artamevia and Zahwa Massaid are very supportive of Aaliyah's activities.

Reza's second child has never experienced the duty of raising the flag. This is because Aaliyah is doing home schooling.

"I'm very proud to be able to participate in the August 17 event. The opportunity is not easy to come by, so I'm happy to have this chance," Aaliyah continued.

Aaliyah admitted that she is indeed interested in water sports, but she has never dived before. "If I have free time, I will get a diving license," she said enthusiastically.

Being in the aquarium apparently made Aaliyah a little panicked. "The key is to stay calm but I'm still panicking. If I've been here a hundred times, then I'll try going to the sea," Aaliyah continued.

The flag raising procession at Sea World will be held on August 17, 2019, around 10:00-12:00 WIB. There will be approximately 8,000 visitors witnessing it.

"I'm getting more nervous hearing that 8,000 people will be watching. But, God willing, with the support of my brothers and sisters here," Aaliyah explained.

Later, Aaliyah will be in the water for about 10-15 minutes. Good luck, Aaliyah!
