Admitting Mistakes and Expressing Apologies, Roy Suryo Finally Withdraws Report Against Lucky Alamsyah

Kapanlagi.com - Roy Suryo has officially withdrawn his report at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jakarta Metro Police regarding the hit-and-run case involving Lucky Alamsyah, on Monday (20/3). According to Roy Suryo, this is following Lucky Alamsyah's apology some time ago to reconcile.

Roy Suryo revealed this when he was met at the Jakarta Metro Police. With this withdrawal, Roy Suryo confirmed that his feud with Lucky Alamsyah is now over.

"So today, based on this evidence, and the withdrawal from the East Jakarta Police, me and my team have made a letter to withdraw the report against Lucky Alamsyah at the Jakarta Metro Police, and today the case is resolved," said Roy Suryo.

Accompanied by his legal counsel, Pitra Romadoni, Roy mentioned the closure of the case with several formal statements at the Criminal Investigation Unit. However, there are several clauses that are prerequisites submitted by Roy, in case something undesirable happens.

"It's already truly resolved, yesterday there was a new statement of apology. Now there is black on white, and I have signed the withdrawal report," he said.

1. Can Be Reported Again If There Are Other Cases

"But there are circumstances where I can report again if there are other cases, there is an option but hopefully that won't happen," he said.

Previously, the conflict between former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Roy Suryo and artist Lucky Alamsyah ended peacefully. The peace between Roy and Lucky regarding a traffic accident involving both occurred after mediation conducted by the police at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday (30/7/2021).

Roy stated that the steps of peace taken are in accordance with the decree of the National Police Chief regarding restorative justice regarding the settlement of cases related to the ITE Law or defamation.

Previously, Roy reported Lucky Alamsyah for defamation and distorting facts related to the traffic accident, where Roy was accused by Lucky as a hit-and-run perpetrator. Roy then reported Lucky to Polda Metro Jaya on May 24, 2021.
