Singer Sheryl Sheinafia showcases her acting talent once again in the horror film titled TUMBAL KANJENG IBLIS after a two-year hiatus from film production.

This film also marks Sheryl's first time acting in the horror genre. As known, since venturing into the acting industry, Sheryl has often starred in drama films.

"I am very grateful to be given the opportunity by Visinema. This film is a manifestation of me changing my character," said Sheryl during the press screening of the film TUMBAL KANJENG IBLIS in Pondok Indah, Jakarta, on Tuesday (20/12/2022).

Sheryl doesn't deny that she encountered many difficulties playing in a horror film production for the first time, especially since she is a scaredy-cat. However, she was able to overcome these obstacles through teamwork.

"(Preparation). I prayed a lot because I am also a scaredy-cat, and there was a lot of pressure because this is my first horror movie. But here, the cast and all the teams involved supported each other," said Sheryl.

So I feel supported, and one thing that made it easier for me is that there is an acting coach here," concluded Sheryl.

The film TUMBAL KANJENG IBLIS, produced by Visinema Pictures and directed by Mizam Fadhilah, will be released in theaters starting from December 22, 2022.

Film starring Sheryl Sheinafia (Tia), Putri Ayudya (Rosa), Miller Khan (Jefri), Omar Daniel (Nathan) Teuku Rifnu Wikana (Yusuf), broadly tells the story of Tia who constantly receives whispers to find her missing brother.

Armed with a photo, Tia's search leads her to a boarding house owned by Rosa and Jefri. The boarding house, which was once occupied by her brother, is full of mysteries.

Tia experiences many strange events. Eventually, it is revealed that Rosa and Jefri are followers of a cult.
