However, this time, Aldi Taher's participation in the 2024 elections as a candidate for legislative member is threatened to not materialize anymore. Nevertheless, for Aldi, this is not a problem.
Not only that, when asked further about his goal in becoming a candidate, Aldi Taher admitted that he only wants to make money by working as a representative of the people.
"From the beginning, I said that I ran as a candidate to find money. If there is no salary or allowance for the position, would you still run as a candidate?" Aldi Taher said when met in Kemang, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (21/2).
Aldi also explained that looking for money means getting a halal salary from his job in the Indonesian Parliament without harming the people.
"Looking for money means getting a halal salary, we all look for a halal job," he said.
"What is not halal is black magic. From the beginning, looking for money means looking for a job to support my wife and children, God willing, without taking other people's rights," he continued.
In addition, for Aldi Taher, whether or not he becomes a legislator is not a failure for him. As long as the intention and purpose are for the good, failure is not a big deal for him.
"If asked if failure leads to hell, there is no such thing as failure. As long as what we do is for the good, there is no regret," he said.
