After Holding a 20-Year Concert, Maliq & D'Essentials Show Their True Identity Through Perfume

Kapanlagi.com - The music group Maliq & D'Essentials has introduced their latest perfume. The perfume is named Untitled Humans. Maliq & D'Essentials vocalist, Indah, stated that introducing a perfume product was one of their desires outside of music after the 20-year celebration concert held in May.

"After our concert, we wanted something different from music, a different product, and why did we choose perfume," said Indah during a press conference at Hallf Patiunus, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (6/9/2023).

"Just like music, it becomes something that can stick to each person and bring back memories from a certain moment, so we chose perfume. This is what sticks to us," added Indah.

Meanwhile, in the same opportunity, Widi the drummer revealed that the name 'Untitled' itself was taken from their first song that opened Maliq & D'Essentials' career in the Indonesian music industry.

'Untitled' is a very iconic song that opened Maliq's career and it has a deep meaning for Maliq and we were emotionally attached to that name. It seems like we brought a very emotional symbol with us through 'Untitled' which truly represents Maliq's identity,' said Widi.

2. Collaboration Form

Untitled Humans is a collaboration between Maliq & D'Essentials and HMNS (Humans). The vocalist, Angga Puradiredja, stated that this perfume is expected to always complement the meaningful stories of its users, rather than just fulfilling a lifestyle.

'After 20 years of making music, Maliq & D'Essentials, through MAD Haus, want to start exploring the retail world. The concrete form of it is by creating a product that is not far from our persona and DNA, which is the lifestyle area,' concluded Angga.
