Kapanlagi.com - Guitarist of the band Slank, Abdi Negara Nurdin or more commonly known as Abdee Slank has been appointed as a commissioner of PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (Persero) through the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) held on Friday (28/5/2021).
In response to this, musician Ahmad Dhani stated that the steps taken by PT Telkom and the Government are the right decisions. Considering that he, who was born in Donggala, was one of the people who became Jokowi's successful team during the 2014 Presidential Election.
"Of all the decisions ever made by President Jokowi, appointing Abdee Slank as a Commissioner of Telkomsel is the most appropriate decision," said Ahmad Dhani to journalists on Saturday (29/5/2021).
Ahmad Dhani stated that President Jokowi's trust is worthy of appreciation for entrusting a musician to become a commissioner. Moreover, Ahmad Dhani considers Abdee Negara as one of the musicians who is known to be good, honest, and humble.
"President Jokowi's trust in musicians is worthy of appreciation. Since then, there have been almost no artists who have been trusted to become a bureaucrat by an Indonesian president," he said.
Ahmad Dhani hopes that with the appointment of Abdee Negara as a commissioner, it can have an impact on the fate of musicians in Indonesia.
"The hope of all musicians, hopefully Abdee Slank can fight for the fate of musicians who are increasingly declining," Ahmad Dhani concluded.
