Ahmad Dhani Candidly Talks About Divorce with Maia, Calls Her the Queen of Image Building - Makes False Report

Unfortunately, the harmony vanished after their marriage experienced cracks, which led to Maia's divorce petition being granted by the South Jakarta Religious Court in September 2008. Although it was revealed that she obtained custody rights over Al Ghazali, El Rumi, and Dul Jaelani, it turns out that the custody of the children was handed over to Dhani.

13 years after the divorce with Maia, Dhani suddenly spoke about his past. To the media, the frontman of the band Dewa referred to his ex-wife as the Queen of Image Building.

"Before Jokowi was known as the King of Image Building, Maia was the Queen of Image Building. Her life was full of image building. She used to report to the police for alleged domestic violence. Of course, it was just a false report. I still have the SP3 documents from the police," said Dhani quoted from a WhatsApp message received by the media on Saturday (28/8/2021).

1. Report to Gain Sympathy

Ahmad Dhani revealed that he has informed his three children that the domestic violence report filed by Maia Estianty is fake. The report was used to gain public sympathy before filing for divorce.

"I have shown Al, El, Dul the evidence that all of their mother's reports are fake. The reports were only used to gain sympathy from the public and the judge," explained Dhani.

"Coincidentally, after reporting to the police, we immediately went to the religious court to file for divorce. The domestic violence report was used as a reason for the divorce," continued the singer of the song 'You Are My Heaven'.

2. Faults as a Wife

Ahmad Dhani also discussed the issue of him gaining custody of Al Ghazali, El Rumi, and Dul Jaelani. According to him, the judge knows Maia Estianty's mistakes as a wife.

"If according to the high judge of the Religious Court, Maia is a wife who is innocent of any mistakes, then Maia would have received the two demands she made besides the divorce. Those demands are custody of the children and the gono gini property," said the bald-headed man.

"But those two demands were not granted by the highest level of the judge panel. Why? Because ADP's lawyer managed to prove Maia's mistakes and faults as a wife. And finally, Maia Estianty received a divorce letter after almost six years of acting in court," said the man who is now married to Mulan Jameela.
