In the 2024 Bandung Regency elections, Ali Syakieb is running for office and is committed to realizing the dreams of the community. Ali made his acting debut in the soap opera Alisa (2008) and has played roles such as Wahyu Shubuh in Pesantren & Rock n' Roll (2011) and Jamal in Tukang Bubur Naik Haji. With his natural acting and calm demeanor, he has become one of the favorite soap opera and FTV actors, especially among young people.

Ali Syakieb has decided to run for a seat in the DPR, focusing on important issues such as education, community welfare, and the creative economy.

In the 2024 elections, Ali is running as a candidate for the DPR RI from PDI-P for the West Java XI district. However, he failed to secure a seat in Senayan after receiving 36,195 votes.

During the campaign, Ali actively went to the field, listening to the aspirations of the people, and was known as a simple and down-to-earth figure. Full support also came from his sister, actress Nabila Syakieb, as well as his fans.

Some time ago, Ali focused on his candidacy for Deputy Regent of Bandung in the 2024 regional elections. Paired with the incumbent Dadang Supriatna, they were supported by six parties, including PKB, Gerindra, NasDem, Demokrat, PAN, and PDI-P.

Based on the quick count results reported by Liputan6, the pair Dadang Supriatna-Ali Syakieb garnered 57.01% of the votes and were declared superior compared to other pairs.

The Bandung Regency KPU officially announced the election results on December 4, 2024. The pair Dadang Supriatna-Ali Syakieb received 1,046,344 votes, defeating Sahrul Gunawan-Gun Gun Gunawan with 827,240 votes. Ali and Dadang were declared the winners and are ready to serve as Regent and Deputy Regent of Bandung for the 2024-2029 period.
