Amanda Manopo Plans to Study in America, Billy Syahputra Ready to Follow

"I plan to study in America. But there is a pandemic this year, just pray that the pandemic will end this year. Then hopefully next year will be back to normal, and I can be active and go to college. And maybe I will invite Billy to study," said Amanda Manopo at studio 41, South Jakarta, Tuesday (11/8/2020).

Studying in America is not Amanda Manopo's main dream, but she wants to try something new. "It's not really a dream, but I'll give it a try. I want to try something new, but it's my own desire and my family's desire, especially my father who prioritizes education," she said.

1. Future LDR

If it is true that she will study in America, Amanda Manopo will have to leave her boyfriend, Billy Syahputra. Automatically, they both have to endure a long-distance relationship.

"Well, if she leaves, it's inevitable, because she's going to study abroad. We will definitely find time, maybe she can come visit if she's not busy. Or, we have phones, video calls, LDR, so maybe with the distance, we can miss each other when we meet again," said Amanda Manopo.

Billy Syahputra himself admitted that he will continue to support whatever Amanda Manopo does as long as it remains positive. Moreover, Amanda Manopo's desire to continue her education is not something new. Previously, Billy said that when they were still getting to know each other, Amanda Manopo had mentioned it.

"So, in every relationship, there is always an approach. When I was getting to know Amanda, she told me, "I want to go to college, but I don't know what the future holds, and I want to study here, majoring in business,"" said Billy.

"And because we were still getting to know each other at that time, I could only say, "as long as it's positive, as long as you want it, as long as it's good for you, go for it." When I was in a relationship with Manda, if you study far away, I will do my best to figure out how to follow you," added Billy.

What is clear, Billy has planned for the future if Amanda Manopo really studies in America. "Yes, maybe if she has to focus on studying abroad, for example if this is achieved, but this is just Amanda's dream, we don't know what the future holds, but hopefully it's something positive, something good, hopefully it will be granted," he said.

"If this happens, as much as possible I will try to, because I also have to take responsibility in Indonesia, in the sense that I have a lot of work to do. Maybe I will follow Amanda just to spend quality time for a few weeks like that. But I will return to Indonesia," Billy Syahputra concluded.
