Amanda Manopo Shooting Film 'DON'T THROW AWAY MOM' While Pregnant, Admits She Was Once Afraid

"The challenge for me in this film is... being pregnant. I was pregnant at that time, and it felt really heavy, like shooting a drama story. I was worried something might happen to the baby because it was still the first trimester," said Amanda Manopo.

In this film, Kenny Austin's wife plays the character of the second child who has an important role as a balance in her family. She has to be someone who is more courageous to speak up compared to her brother, who tends to be less sensitive to the situations at home.

"So as the middle child, I try to mediate to always be there, to be a listener, and to be more vocal in letting my brother know or informing my younger sibling. And I think that is something that is not easy because I am actually... I am just one of two siblings, and I am the youngest," she explained.

In addition to character challenges, the family atmosphere on set was also an unforgettable experience for Amanda. Her co-star, Fedi Nuril, shared how Amanda often indulged the crew and other cast members with an abundance of food.

"The fun part is actually us. Thanks to Amanda Manopo because every time we are shooting, wow, there’s food everywhere! Because she is... Amanda responded to the praise with her usual humor, which made the atmosphere even more familiar. She feels that sharing happiness through food is one of the ways to enjoy the exhausting shooting process.

"Yes, there’s no one hungry as long as I’m here. Let’s move on, Yasamin Jasem!" said Amanda Manopo while laughing. Through her role, she wants to prove that being pregnant is not an obstacle to continue working optimally in the entertainment industry.
