As a Product Design student, Aruma concluded her studies with a standout final project, which involved the creation of a rattan guitar that combines three main elements: art, design, and music. This project serves as evidence of her innovation in merging aesthetics with sustainability.
By utilizing karuun rattan, a processed material from Indonesia known for being strong yet lightweight, Aruma designed a musical instrument that is not only functional but also environmentally conscious. She demonstrates that local materials can have competitive value on the global stage.
According to him, guitars made from rattan karuun hold great potential for further development in the modern musical instrument industry. This work is not only beautiful visually but also reflects Aruma's deep understanding of the integration between creativity and sustainability.
