Ammar Zoni's Roommate Witness Claims No Drug Evidence During the Search

Ammar Zoni is back for a follow-up trial regarding the alleged drug trafficking case at the Central Jakarta District Court on Thursday (22/1/2026). The agenda for this trial is to hear the testimony of mitigating witnesses presented by Ammar Zoni's legal team.

Two witnesses, namely Susandi Sumargo and Muhammad Febri, were present to provide testimony regarding the actor's activities. Febri himself was Ammar Zoni's roommate from October 2024 to January 2025, thus being aware of the artist's daily activities.

In front of the panel of judges, Febri revealed important facts related to the police search. He stated that the officers did not find any narcotic evidence belonging to Ammar Zoni during the examination.

This statement became the main point of defense for Ammar in facing the charges. Febri mentioned that only a few personal electronic items were taken by the officers from his room at that time. "During the search at that time, the only things found were a handphone, charger, and a bluetooth headset, sir," Febri said in court on Thursday (22/1/2026).

In addition, the Chief Judge delved into Ammar Zoni's habits while sharing a room. Febri admitted that he had never seen the actor using illegal drugs directly.

He emphasized that there was no suspicious activity related to drugs while they lived together. This also strengthens the mitigating testimony for the defendant. "Coincidentally, I never saw it, Ma'am," replied Febri when asked by the Chief Judge.

Febri only saw Ammar routinely consuming health supplements and medical vitamins to maintain his physical condition. However, he could not explain the type of medication in detail to the judge.

Aside from that, Ammar was charged with involvement in drug trafficking along with five other people. The prosecutor stated that Ammar received 100 grams of meth from Andre (DPO) in December 2024.

A total of 50 grams of methamphetamine is suspected to have been handed over to Muhammad Rivaldi for distribution inside the detention center. Ammar Zoni along with five other defendants, namely Asep, Ardian Prasetyo, Andi Muallim, Ade Candra Maulana, and Muhammad Rivaldi, have been charged with involvement in the distribution of methamphetamine, marijuana, and ecstasy. For this act, Ammar has been charged under Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) as well as alternatively Article 112 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of the Narcotics Law.
