An Only Child Adi Kurdi Reveals His Father as a Figure Who Can See Human Potential

Kapanlagi.com - Sad news once again envelops the entertainment world in the homeland. Senior actor Adi Kurdi has passed away on Friday (8/5/2020) at the National Brain Hospital, East Jakarta.

Maria Advena Victoria, Adi Kurdi's only child, shares about her late father during his lifetime. Advena was interviewed at the Rendra Theater Workshop in Depok, West Java, on Friday (8/5).

"(Father) was admitted to the National Brain Hospital on April 29. The diagnosis showed a mass in his brain, but it was not yet known whether it was a tumor or something else because it had not been observed, only CT scans and MRI were done. The mass in his brain continued to swell. The swelling was being treated, but since then his condition has been deteriorating," Advena said.

1. Disease Complaint

Furthermore, Advena said that her father was only recently found to have a brain swelling since he was examined at the hospital. She also added that her father often forgets things before his departure.

"His swelling was only discovered when he was taken to the hospital. But because of his age, he often forgets. There are no complaints, my father can no longer see due to glaucoma, his complaints are only related to glaucoma," she said.

2. Reasons for Burial at Bengkel Teater Rendra

The body of Adi Kurdi has now been buried at Bengkel Teater Rendra. Advena explained that the place is indeed owned by the family.

"The workshop is indeed owned by the family. Uncle WS Rendra is my mother's brother. My aunt is also buried here. My uncle prepared a space for artists to be buried here if they want. So here is my uncle's grave, maybe my father also agrees to be buried here," she continued.

3. The Dedicated Father

Remembering the figure of her father, Advena said that he was a dedicated person. He also understood the potential that each person has.

"My father is a dedicated person. When he is interested in something, he will pursue it until the end. Fortunately, my father is interested in the potential of human beings, so he understands that potential in the mind, potential in consciousness, and potential in feelings. How to apply it in life, how to share it with others as well. Basically, everyone has the potential to live, it's just a matter of how to utilize it," said Advena.
