Anang Hermansyah Calls Bimbim Slank's Parents His Own Father While Staying in Potlot

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Anang Hermansyah also attended the funeral of the late father of Bimbim Slank on Potlot Street, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta. Anang's closeness with Bimbim Slank's father has been established since Anang started his music career and stayed in Potlot.

Anang considers Bimbim Slank's parents as a substitute father figure while being in Jakarta.

"Yes, this is my house. He is like his father who gave a lot of input before. I have been living here for almost three years, so his father really inspires me, he is a very kind person, very good" said Anang Hermansyah at the funeral, Tuesday (5/3/2024).

Anang Hermansyah still remembers clearly the wise messages left by the deceased to him while he was in Potlot.

"His advice was 'Nang, you should never give up, he always taught the children here to never give up because the struggle ends when we die,'" said Anang.

2. Sharing the Loss

Anang Hermansyah also feels the loss of the figure of Sidharta M. Soemarno, especially when remembering his arrival in Potlot and being warmly welcomed by the Bimbim Slank family.

"I came from the village in Jember to here, he accepted my mother, accepted Mas Bimbim, accepted Massto, accepted Mas Kaka because they used to live here and he never discriminated against anyone," said Anang.

3. Valuable Lessons

There are many valuable lessons that Anang Hermansyah learned from the late Sidharta M. Soemarno in his career as a musician.

"So that's what I always take from him, that he is someone who is very open to anyone. That's what still lingers," Anang concluded.

4. Father of Bimbim Slank Passed Away

Sad news came from Bimbim Slank's family, where his father, Sidharta M. Soemarno, passed away on Monday (4/3/2024) night at Asri Jakarta Hospital. The body is now in the funeral home on Potlot Street, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta. The news of his passing was conveyed through a chain message received by the media on Tuesday (5/3/2024).

"Innalillahi wa'inna ilaihi rojiun. Mr. H. Sidharta Manghurudin Bin Soemarno has returned to the mercy of Allah at the age of 88 years," the chain message reads.
