Andro Nidji Reveals His Mother's Illness Until Finally Passing Away at the Age of 78

Kapanlagi.com - Andro Nidji reveals the illness suffered by Djusmeati or Mea Sidharta, until finally passing away at the age of 78, on Sunday (12/5) at a hospital. The person with the full name Mochamad Andro Regantoro stated that his mother initially had diabetes.

"Serious illness since last December, she had been in the ICU and then returned home," said Andro after the funeral at TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta, on Monday (13/5).

"My parents did have diabetes, she had a stent inserted but it didn't last. But because diabetes is wicked, any illness can complicate matters and it's difficult to recover, especially at that age," Andro added.

At its peak, after celebrating Eid al-Fitr, the condition of the deceased deteriorated again. As a result, the bassist's mother, Nidji, was rushed to the hospital again.

"So after Eid, my mother was exhausted, in the morning she had difficulty breathing, her saturation level dropped below 70, so she was immediately taken to the ICU. It turned out her heart had various complications," he said.

After a month of treatment, Andro's mother finally took her last breath. However, it seems that his mother waited for his arrival before finally passing away.

"She fought for a month until she couldn't hold on anymore, her spirit was still there but her body couldn't support her. So we had to accept it, and she waited for me to arrive before passing away," he said.

2. Previously Taught to Recite Talqin

Andro is grateful that his mother managed to teach him to recite talqin before she passed away. Moreover, the hospital doctors had already warned the family to prepare for the worst.

"So, she whispered the call to prayer in my ear, 'there is no god but Allah,' and that's it, what else can we do. Alhamdulillah, we were able to communicate smoothly, suddenly she was gone. The doctor had already informed us, 'Be prepared. Her blood pressure can no longer be raised,' and so on. So, that's all we could do," he concluded.

Currently, the deceased mother's body has been buried at the Tanah Kusir Public Cemetery in South Jakarta. She was buried together with her husband, who had passed away earlier.
