The anime adaptation of SAKAMOTO DAYS has officially announced its release date. The news comes with an official teaser trailer featuring the legendary hitman, Taro Sakamoto.

SAKAMOTO DAYS is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki. The manga has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump Shueisha magazine from November 2020 to April 2024, with a total of 16 tankobon volumes.

TMS Entertainment, the production studio behind DETECTIVE CONAN, FRUITS BASKET, and DR. STONE, will handle the animation production for SAKAMOTO DAYS. Directed by Masaki Watanabe, this anime series is expected to be one of the most anticipated anime adaptations by fans.

Taro Sakamoto is considered the greatest hitman of all time. Feared by many, he stood at the top of the underworld until he met and fell in love with a woman. As a result, Sakamoto left his criminal life behind and now works as a store employee.

Leaving his dark past behind turned out to be more difficult than Sakamoto imagined. Many former rivals and partners do not believe that he has truly left the business and emerge with hopes of taking him out. Prohibited from killing, Sakamoto must find creative ways to subdue his enemies and prevent them from endangering his family, his store, and the small town he lives in.
