Anime Basket ZERO RISE Will Be Released Soon, Will It Be the Successor to Kuroko No Basket?

The name ZERO RISE itself has actually started to be heard since November 2025. Through its official website, this project is introduced with the theme Underdogs x Basketball. The story is set in a super competitive society with an ever-widening wealth gap. In the midst of this condition, ZERO RISE is a secret street basketball league where players fight fiercely for one goal: to heal past wounds and reclaim their stage. Essentially, this is not just about winning on the court, but also about life.

The lineup of characters and their voice actors is also impressive. Yumi Kimisawa voices Hayato Jigen, the mysterious founder of ZERO RISE.

For the UNIFIXXX team, there is Hiroki Sasamori as Madoka Kurogare or Madoka, Tomoya Fukui as Hagane Amadate alias Date, and Kai Otomo as Tsukasa Marindo who is nicknamed Merlin.

The KINGS+HOOT team features Hiroki Ishibashi as Dairi Sugawara alias BLINK, Sato Takamichi as Kagetora Tamura or MIRACLE, and Yusei Hiraga as Haruhi Niwa known as SUNSHINE.

Then there is RumbleWing[s] with Ren Tahara as Tsubasa Hirai alias York, Takumi Mano as Yuichiro Jinnai or Ujin, and Yoh Maejima as Issa Jinnai who is called Sajin.

Meanwhile, from the Blackspot team, Shota Kawakami appears as Takeshi Hari with the nickname Ballista.

2. Official Trailer ZERO RISE

The ZERO RISE trailer is produced by Nichika Line. Daichi Omori, who was previously known as the CG director for the MV Peaky P-key Wish You Luck, directly took part as the storyboard artist, unit director, and CG director. The result? A trailer that looks full of energy and style.

Additionally, ZERO RISE will also be presented in the form of a theater performance scheduled to take place in May. So, besides watching the anime, fans can also enjoy the world of ZERO RISE right from the stage.
