The production staff of the television anime adaptation of the manga GACHIAKUTA by Kei Urana announced on Sunday (21/12/2025) that the series will continue to a second season. This announcement was made after the final episode of the first season officially aired. The news also marks the continuation of the story that was previously concluded at the end of the debut season.

Kei Urana also celebrated the announcement of season 2 by releasing a special illustration. An additional illustration was created by Hideyoshi Ando, known as a graffiti designer in the GACHIAKUTA project. Both have become part of the celebration for the continuation of this anime adaptation.

GACHIAKUTA itself tells the story of Rudo, who lives in a slum area of a floating city, where the social chasm between the poor and the rich is clearly visible. He is then accused of a murder he did not commit and sentenced to exile to the undercity. In the underworld filled with monsters from human waste, Rudo struggles to uncover the truth by mastering new powers and joining the Cleaners group.

2. Gachiakuta RPG Game Announced

In addition to the announcement of the second season, the RPG (Role-Playing Game) project GACHIAKUTA was also introduced alongside the airing of the last episode of the anime. This announcement expands the GACHIAKUTA universe into the realm of gaming.

The game is currently using the title "Gachiakuta: The Game." Its development aims to provide a gaming experience that can recreate the atmosphere of the GACHIAKUTA world as seen in the anime version. The concept is a survival action RPG that immerses players directly into the story's setting.
