Annoyed Because Accused of Taking DP Money to Fill Sermons, Ustaz Solmed: Either I or You Will Feel Prison

When met at his residence in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, on Thursday night (30/9), Ustaz Solmed explained about the invitation that was supposed to be held in Bandung, West Java.

However, the organizing committee said that one of the event venues is located in Garut, West Java, which surprised Ustaz Solmed as it does not match the invitation he received.

Considering the distance between Bandung and Garut is quite far, and the next morning Ustaz Solmed has a shooting schedule, this is what burdens him. Because he did not attend the religious gathering in Garut, the organizers were upset and made various accusations, even accusing Ustaz Solmed of running away with the down payment money.

"He sent his banners to be placed in Bandung regency, Pangalengan district, not in Garut. If it's in Garut, I wouldn't want to because I have to shoot in the morning. Have you ever seen me make a video wearing a red shirt? It's because he sent the banner earlier and wrote to convince them (the congregation) not to forget to attend the grand religious gathering with Ustaz Solmed. This is what he showed, meaning this brochure is for Pangalengan, not Garut," said Ustaz Solmed.

"(Regarding taking away the down payment money) Okay, let's open it. Can you see how much? It says Bandung here. (Rp 2 million) the remaining payment, he waits until it arrives and then gives it. It is written by Mr. Suwarna on September 26, there are two dots, afternoon at the Pangalengan Grand Mosque, and evening at the Cisewu Mosque," he continued.

Ustaz Solmed is also puzzled by all the slander thrown by the organizers about his absence. When all the negative news spread, Ustaz Solmed chose to remain silent because he didn't want to worsen the situation.

"That's what I'm saying, why wasn't it considered before making statements, being patient, being silent doesn't necessarily mean being wrong. But why does it get worse when it's ignored," he said.

Ustaz Solmed admits that initially he still decided to go to Garut despite being deceived about the venue not matching the agreement. However, his good intentions were not reciprocated because he couldn't attend due to a disaster blocking the way, and he was even slandered and accused of being infected with Covid. Because of this, Ustaz Solmed will take legal action to have a deterrent effect.

"I have been deceived. I was deceived about the venue but still went. There was a disaster on the way, the car was damaged, and then they also slandered me and my wife, accusing us of having Covid. Here's the thing, either you or I will experience prison, let's settle it in court later," he concluded.
