The story focuses on Cui Xiao Xiao, a smart and adorable girl who has a fate of ten wounds. Her teacher once said, it’s a good thing she was born 200 years late, because if she had been born earlier, she would have been an easy target for Wei Jie, the very cruel devil. Xiao Xiao feels relieved because the devil was rumored to have been killed by his own disciple hundreds of years ago.

But, as fate would have it, no one knows. Xiao Xiao suddenly travels back in time to 200 years ago. There, she meets a handsome yet unruly young man and decides to take him as her disciple. How shocked Xiao Xiao is to find out that the tall, big disciple she has lovingly trained is actually named Wei Jie, the most feared devil.

4. Get Ready to Get Emotional with Ao Ruipeng & Zhang Miaoyi's Acting

Seeing the premise of the Teacher and Student relationship spiced with a hate-to-love theme, we seem to need to prepare a stock of tissues and patience. Ao Ruipeng, who has a cool face, is very suitable for playing Wei Jie, who is cynical yet handsome. Meanwhile, Zhang Miaoyi, known for her expressive acting, will be perfect for portraying Xiao Xiao, who is cheerful but unfortunate.

The interaction between the not-yet-fully-evil devil and the girl from the future will definitely be filled with sweet moments as well as chest-tightening ones. Fans have already imagined how Ao Ruipeng will stare intensely at Zhang Miaoyi dressed in an aesthetic ancient costume. It’s truly a very promising combination.
