Ari Lasso Reveals Riders When Performing, Simple and Available at Minimarkets: 'We Are Not Exploiting the Situation'

Having a big name on the Indonesian music stage does not make Ari Lasso arrogant. While many musicians request riders or special requests when performing with long and 'strange' lists, it is not the case with Ari.

The singer born in Madiun on January 17, 1973, revealed the riders he requested when invited to perform. The contents are very simple and can be found in any minimarket.

This is Ari Lasso's riders. The only must-have items are mineral water, dragon fruit, 2 packs of Genji snacks, and Fitbar. All of these can be found in minimarkets or even small shops. If there is something he wants, Ari will buy it himself.

Ari revealed his riders in an Instagram post made on Sunday, (6/7) yesterday. "Simplicity is the KEY!! And we are Musicians, not Situational Exploiters. This is my room refreshment: mineral water, dragon fruit, 2 packs of Genji snacks and 2 packs of Fitbar. If I want something, I buy it myself, like Soy Joy, dark chocolate with almonds, etc. Why am I writing this... with a career that has lasted more than 30 years, we do not feel the need to 'make up' riders, and to behave immaturely or sulk even in minor misunderstandings that lead to friction with LO/EO/promoters. Because EO/Promoters are not an entity we should squeeze, but rather partners; without them, 'the wheels do not run smoothly,'" he wrote.

Not only Ari, but the band Dewa 19 also has the same simple riders. "Even arilasso band n @officialdewa19 even got the nickname, legendary band with riders that can be bought in Indo/Alfamart. This writing is more of a SELF REMINDER, that up there it is indeed enjoyable, but falling down is also very painful...," he wrote.

Ari also advised young musicians not to take advantage of the situation to ask for excessive refreshments when performing. "I am the founder, EO/promoter since 2009, I also handled 'Soundrenaline from 2012-2017' (aahh long story), up until now I am still an EO/agency 'acteevee ind', with 2 friends, also FOUNDER and Owner of Alass Management since 2003. From the past until now, I often smile wryly, laugh sadly, seeing the behavior of younger bands/musicians who are 'shining' sometimes their riders or refreshments are NOT NOT AT ALL. I like to pat my chest, like there's 'AJI MUMPUNG' while being on top.Dear younger siblings, there is something FAR MORE IMPORTANT than all of that, which is strict self-management, a solid production team, and management that is communicative and adaptive to the situation and conditions.

Ari invites all musicians to remember where they came from, so they do not request excessive riders. "Just REMEMBER WHERE WE CAME FROM, LIVE INDONESIAN MUSIC," he concluded.
