Gary Iskak was reportedly arrested by West Java Regional Police investigators for a drug case some time ago. He was apprehended by the police along with four other individuals in Pasir Putih, Bandung, West Java.
After being arrested, Gary Iskak finally had to undergo rehabilitation at BNN Tangerang Selatan due to its proximity to his residence. Read the full news here.
The consideration for rehabilitation near Gary's residence is because of his health condition as a 48-year-old man.
"The assessment of the suspect obtained evidence of less than one gram so an assessment was carried out," said Gary Iskak's legal counsel, Antonny Mextrada when met in the Pesanggrahan area, South Jakarta, (31/5) Tuesday night.
Antonny also mentioned that after the arrest, his client's health condition had declined. After the examination, an assessment was conducted and Gary Iskak had to undergo mandatory reporting rehabilitation.
"After the arrest, Gary experienced a decline in health condition where his platelets decreased, his legs swollen, his body weak, and he had a fever, so the regional police team provided treatment and took him to the hospital under doctor's supervision," he said.
On May 27, 2022, Gary was finally released from the West Java Police detention center. Considering that Gary Iskak resides in South Tangerang, rehabilitation is recommended at the South Tangerang Provincial BNN.
In addition, Gary Iskak's legal counsel emphasizes that he did not intentionally come to use drugs with his colleagues. However, Gary was invited to discuss work issues without knowing that his colleagues had used drugs at the location.
"What needs to be emphasized is that Gary did not gather and use drugs together, but he was invited to a colleague's house to discuss work without knowing that they were using drugs," Antonny concluded.
