Ashanty Criticized for a Year, Compared to Krisdayanti and Syahrini

According to Ashanty on The Hermansyah A6 YouTube channel on Wednesday (8/7), the early days of dueting with her husband, Anang Hermansyah, were not easy. People always compared her to Anang's previous duet partner.

1. Being Compared

"When I first started singing with Mas Anang, I wasn't allowed to use playback, it had to be live. Meanwhile, people compared me to his previous duet partners," said Ashanty.

As KLovers know, before being with Ashanty, Anang had previously dueted with Syahrini. Their duet was even accompanied by rumors of a romance. Furthermore, Anang also dueted with Krisdayanti for many years.

2. Sempat Fals

Ashanty admitted that she was very nervous when singing. She even remembers when she had to sing live on TV and her voice was off-key.

"I sang so off-key, oh my God, it was so bad. Because I sang live on morning TV, I had just woken up. It was a complete mess!" she continued.

3. Bullied for a Year

She endured all the bullying for a year. Despite that, she remained strong. "But being bullied for a year really made us struggle," said the woman born on November 4, 1984.

Not only her singing career faced challenges, Ashanty's relationship with Anang was not as smooth as people thought. At least that's what Ashanty revealed on their wedding anniversary last May.

4. A Challenging Journey

"Our journey is not easy, nor heavy. Not always beautiful, but always full of love. There are no fixed rules, no rigidity, no obligations, no one is superior, no duties. But there is always tolerance, always empathy, supporting each other, trusting each other, loving each other," wrote Ashanty.
