Aska Rocket Rockers Fasts from Talking for Two Weeks After Losing His Voice

Kapanlagi.com - The vocalist of Rocket Rockers, Aska, has to fast from talking for two weeks after losing his voice. This is a common occurrence for singers and presenters. Aska explained that he lost his voice due to the busy schedule with the band.

"So, this is not a vocal cord inflammation, but more about how long you sing or MC. This disease is like the voice cord is tired because it is overused, so the voice cord is scratched and thin," said Aska at Mbloc, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/6/2022).

1. Fasting from Talking

To get his voice back to normal, Aska had to fast from talking for two weeks. "So, the recovery is that we have to stop talking, otherwise the voice cord will keep rubbing and it won't heal," he said.

2. Not the First Time

"Actually, I shouldn't be talking today, it's the last day, but since I met the media and there are some people I have to inform, I got a one-day dispensation," added Aska.

This is not the first time Aska has lost his voice. Two years ago, he admitted experiencing the same thing twice.

3. One Month Recovery

"Two years ago, I was like this too, and it took a month to recover. Now it's shorter, just two weeks of not talking," said Aska.

"If it's just an operation like inserting a camera into the throat, then giving medicine, you have to fast from talking, especially singing," Aska concluded.
