Asked About the Plan to Get Married at a Young Age, Syakir Daulay: Want to Follow the Sunnah of the Prophet

Syakir Daulay recently caused a sensation on social media due to his Instagram post about being nervous before getting married.

Of course, because of this post, many people assume that this 19-year-old man will soon tie the knot.

However, apparently it was only a way for Syakir to promote his latest single. But when asked about marriage plans, Syakir himself wants to get married when he turns 25 years old.

"Syakir decided to follow the Prophet's sunnah at the age of 25. Before that, Syakir still wants to learn and create. Many people who converted to Islam get married, it's okay. But if Syakir really wants to get married before the age of 25, it seems like there is no intention yet. But that's Syakir's plan," said Syakir Daulay when met in Kemang area, South Jakarta, on Sunday (20/6).

Not only that, when asked about Syakir Daulay's partner, he honestly admitted that he hasn't found the right one yet. He also responded to the phenomenon of many young artists who converted to Islam and got married but had to separate as a lesson for him.

"If it's not there yet, Syakir hasn't found the right one. If Syakir really gets married, people might think it's another prank, just wait and see. Actually, it's a lesson for them that they haven't succeeded in their marriages, I wonder why. Marriage is something we go through, not because of our parents' jobs or anything like that," he said.

"If you get married because of love, love is inherently accompanied by desire. Unless you get married because of affection. Marriage is not because of love but because of affection. Syakir is not afraid but cautious," he continued.

Nevertheless, Syakir admits to feeling a little envious when many of his friends have already started building their families. However, he still suppresses the desire because he believes it is not the right time yet.

"Jealous, Ameer is really annoying. Every day there's always something about his household. He gives 'Kir this food with his wife' but if you want to follow it, it's not the right time," he concluded.
