'BAD GUYS' Brings Thrilling Acting, Randy Pangalila Reveals Challenges of His Role

Randy shared his experience when he first received the offer to be involved in this project. “When I was offered this series, it was just the right time as I was preparing for Byon 3,” said Randy, when met at Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (18/2/2025).

At that time, he was undergoing a strict diet to maintain his stamina. “When I was offered, I was also on a strict diet,” Randy continued. Although the timing was perfect, he did not deny that his role in this series was a challenge in itself.

Randy explained that acting in an adaptation of a previously popular series is not an easy task. “I was offered to play in an original series video that has been around before. For me, it's actually a challenge. Because it has been done before,” he revealed.

Delving into the character of Haidar, Randy decided to watch the original version. According to him, this character provides a new experience that is very different from his previous roles.

“But when I watched it. I think this is very, very fresh for me. And personally, I have never had a role like this,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Mark Francis, Chief of Content and Strategy at Vidio, revealed that Bad Guys is a series of international quality that has been adapted to suit the tastes of Indonesian viewers.   “We want to create something that still has depth in the story, but is close to local culture,” he stated.

From the directing side, Bad Guys is handled by Ferry Pei Irawan and William Chandra. William Chandra stated that the approach to the action scenes in this series is done very realistically.   “We imagined ‘what if this really happened?’ For example, we prefer to use sharp weapons instead of firearms,” said William.

Bad Guys promises to provide an intense viewing experience with engaging action-packed conflicts. For fans of crime stories, this series is a must-watch in February 2025.
