When he was first offered to join, Yoshi admitted that he didn't know much about the project or which series was being offered to him. But when he found out, he was surprised.
"Honesty, when offered to be involved I immediately did some research. Turns out it's been a big hit on Instagram and most popular on Tik Tok. After Googling, I found out that it started from a novel, then a film, and now a series, it's been around for a while, and there are already viewers," said Yoshi when met in the Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (17/10/2023).
After knowing the popularity of WEDDING AGREEMENT, Yoshi Sudarso's management asked the actor to be involved. Although he was hesitant at first, he finally decided to play the character named Salman.
"The character I play is not a simple character, he is very difficult. Compared to me personally, Salman is completely different, it's like out of this world, so how can I get into his character," Yoshi explained.
After finally flying from Los Angeles to Jakarta, Yoshi Sudarso made sure he could return home when his wife gave birth. Director Archie Hekagery also made sure of that.
"At that time, my wife was about to give birth and the shooting schedule was tight. I wanted to go home to accompany my wife during childbirth. And Mas Archie said, 'Don't worry, you can go home before your wife gives birth,'" Yoshi said.
Chand Parwez, the producer of WEDDING AGREEMENT THE SERIES, revealed that he had difficulty finding an actor to play Salman. Because the actor had to surpass Refal Hady's charm. And finally, Yoshi Sudarso was found.
"The process of finding a cast for Salman was quite long until we finally flew the actor from LA to Jakarta. After being in Jakarta, he (Yoshi) fell in love and wanted to return to his homeland," said Chand on the same occasion.
