Becoming a Victim of Theft, Dara Arafah Attends Press Conference at the Police: The Perpetrator, her Domestic Assistant, Faces 7 Years in Prison

On Monday (12/9), Dara Arafah attended the press conference at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police for the theft case that happened to her. The perpetrator, who is her own domestic assistant, has been apprehended by the police.

Present at the press conference on the theft case that happened to her, Dara Arafah was seen wearing a long floral-patterned dress. She also wore a hijab and a pink sling bag.

From the obtained statement, Dara Arafah found out that her safe containing Rp 789 million was taken away two days after the incident. She immediately reported this to the police.

A few days later, the Sub-Directorate of Special Crimes of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police managed to apprehend two suspects who had been identified. The main perpetrator is Musrida, also known as Sri, who is Dara Arafah's domestic assistant.

According to the police explanation, after Musrida took the safe, she gave it to her boyfriend named Sarpun alias Anwar who was in Cilacap. Once the safe containing Rp 789 million was received by the suspect Sarpun alias Anwar, he immediately used it. It is known that he bought a motorcycle, a mobile phone, and gave some to his fiancée.

"As for the proceeds of the crime, in the form of cash amounting to Rp 789 million, it was used to purchase a Kawasaki Ninja ZX 250R motorcycle worth Rp 113 million, buy a Vivo HP worth Rp 4 million, give Rp 5 million to the fiancée, and for daily needs," explained Commissioner Pol Endra Zulpan.

The remaining cash in Dara Arafah's safe is Rp 672 million. As the victim, the influencer has forgiven, but for legal matters, she fully entrusts it to the police.

The two perpetrators of the theft of Dara Arafah's safe are charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code. This criminal act threatens them with a maximum prison sentence of seven years.

"In this incident, the investigators have conducted intensive examinations and have identified both as suspects under Article 363 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum imprisonment of seven years," said Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan.
