Before the Accident, the Older Brother Mentioned Daood Separating from the DEBU Group After an Activity in Jogja

Kapanlagi.com - Drummer personnel of the music group DEBU, Daood Abdullah was reported to have an accident on the Pasuruan-Probolinggo toll road, (18/4) early Monday morning. As a result of the accident, the car he was riding in with the group was severely damaged after colliding with a truck in front of them.

Not only that, the incident also claimed the lives of two Malaysian nationals named Firdaus and Al-Haddad Amal Sheikh Aidaros. This was conveyed by Daood Debu's older brother, Saleem, when giving a statement about the incident his younger brother experienced when met in the Tebet area of Jakarta on Monday (18/4).

"No, (the one who died) was a close friend of Daood," said Saleem.

1. Unrelated to DEBU Activities

Saleem also explained that Daood's presence with his friend in East Java had nothing to do with DEBU's activities before the incident. He stated that initially Daood flew to Yogyakarta with other DEBU personnel for an activity, but Daood did not return with the group.

"From what I heard, Debu was playing in Jogja, and the other friends had actually gone home first. Daood, my younger brother who had this accident, went to Surabaya," said Saleem.

2. Pilgrimage to Graves

In addition, Saleem also mentioned that Daood and his friend visited Surabaya for a pilgrimage to graves. The unfortunate incident involving Daood and his entourage occurred on their way back from Surabaya.

"So the accident happened when they were leaving," he said.

3. Chronology of the Accident

The Debu music group's convoy had an accident at KM 837.200 on the Pasuruan-Probolinggo toll road (east to west lane), East Java, on Monday (18/4) at 00.00 WIB. From the incident, it is known that two people died.

One of the DEBU personnel, Daood Abdullah, was one of the victims of the tragedy. His brother, Saleem, confirmed the chronology of the accident that his younger brother experienced when he was met in the Tebet area, South Jakarta, on Monday (18/4).

"Honestly, I received the news at 1.30 WIB and I heard that the incident happened around 12, so honestly, I have had many accidents, so I felt like crying immediately, shocked too, this is my younger brother, there are six of us, I am the fifth twin, Daood is the youngest but the biggest," said Saleem.

4. Daood's Current Condition

Saleem also admitted that he was somewhat relieved because he had learned about his brother's current condition after the accident. He hopes that Daood can recover because he suffered a broken leg.

"Before the media came here, I had a video call with Daood and I heard his leg (pointing to his ankle) was broken, it needs to be operated on, I ask for your prayers. My younger brother has to go through something like this, I ask for your prayers that he will get better, be able to walk again. Yes, that's why I can be a little calmer, I hear his voice and he's still cheerful. I mean, he's a funny guy. His leg is like that, but he's still laughing," he concluded.
