Being a Journalist in the Movie 'PEMBURU DI MANCHESTER BIRU', Adipati Dolken: Difficult and Tiring

In the film, this man, who is familiarly called Dodot, plays the role of Hanif Thamrin, an Indonesian journalist and football activist who once served as the International Content Producer at Manchester City F.C, England.

When met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday night (5/2), Adipati Dolken admitted that being a journalist is not easy. Because he experienced how difficult it is for a journalist to chase after a source.

"Being someone who chases content is difficult and tiring, it turns out. But in the movie, it's more about Hanif, how Hanif survives in a foreign country," said Adipati Dolken.

1. Facing Difficulties

Not only that, there are other difficulties encountered by former lover Vanesha Prescilla while playing in this film, namely the language. But fortunately, everything can be overcome well after the reading process.

"Coincidentally, my co-stars there are not all British, there are various nationalities. But Hanif and I had the opportunity to meet native British people, so we could learn a lot," she said.

2. Learning Dialect

Even the reading process for this film took quite a long time. Because she spent a week learning and perfecting the dialect and language with native English speakers.

"It's quite something. My reading process lasted almost a month, and a week of it was spent reading with British people," she said.

The film PEMBURU DI MANCHESTER BIRU was simultaneously screened in all cinemas in Indonesia on February 6, 2020. This film, produced by Oreima Films and directed by Rako Prijanto, tells the story of a young Indonesian who pursues a career as a journalist in the prestigious English club, Manchester City.
