Being Crazy in the Latest Film Titled 'JUST MOM', Ayushita Gets Inspiration for Her Role from Her Pet Cat

Kapanlagi.com - Actress Ayushita is interested in starring in the latest film produced by Hanung Bramantyo titled, Just Mom. In this film, Ayushita plays the role of a woman with a mental disorder or ODGJ.

Ayushita also shared the reasons why she wanted to play the role of ODGJ in Just Mom. However, she admitted that she was initially confused when she found out about the role she would be playing.

1. ODGJ

"I was contacted, 'Ay, Mas Hanung wants to make a film, play with mother (Christine Hakim)'. So, yeah, I said I wanted to. But then I was told again, 'But you'll be playing a crazy person'," Ayushita said when met at XXI Plaza Senayan, South Jakarta, on Thursday (20/1).

"I'm happy, though, because I get to have a new experience. But why me?" she continued.

2. Learning from Cats

Interestingly, to delve into the role of a person with mental illness, Ayushita did not actually visit a mental hospital. Instead, she learned from her cat to understand her character.

"I have many pet cats. There is one unique stray cat, I named it Cookie. Its eyes are beautiful, not like other village cats, but it is timid. When I saw it, I felt strange. But by observing it, I tried to apply its peculiarity to the character of Murni," she said.

3. Happy to Get the Opportunity

Ayushita admits to being very happy to have the opportunity to conduct research in a strange way. She is even grateful that she doesn't have to bother when playing ODGJ in the film.

"I am grateful because the universe always gives us facilities from anywhere. When we realize that sign, it can definitely be used for work as an actor and so on," she said.

4. Ready to Air

In addition to Ayushita, the film also stars Christine Hakim and Ge Pamungkas. The film is produced by Hanung Bramantyo and is ready to air soon in theaters.
