Bold Move to Hold a Wedding Reception During the Corona Pandemic, Fahrul Sudiana, Husband of Rica Andriani, Removed from the Position of Kembangan Police Chief

Kapanlagi.com - The luxurious wedding reception of celebrity influencer Rica Andriani and Kompol Fahrul Sudiana held amidst the coronavirus outbreak ended bitterly. Fahrul, who previously held the position of Kembangan Police Chief in West Jakarta, had to willingly step down.

As reported by Kompas.com, Fahrul was removed from his position and is now transferred to the Jakarta Metro Police. This was revealed by the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Yusri Yunus.

"Based on the orders of the Jakarta Metro Police Chief, as of today, the person in question (Kompol Fahrul Sudiana) is transferred to the Jakarta Metro Police as a policy analyst," explained Kombes Yusri Yunus in a written statement released on Thursday (2/4).

Fahrul's luxurious and lively wedding reception amidst the corona pandemic immediately went viral. As a police officer, he is considered to have special privileges because his event was not disbanded by officials like other wedding events.

Because of this issue, Fahrul had to undergo an examination by the Profession and Security Division (Propam) of the Jakarta Metro Police. After being examined, he was found to have violated discipline and the National Police Chief's Decree that prohibits activities that invite crowds.

"In this case, the National Police Chief's Decree applies not only to the public, but also to the police officers and their families. So if anyone disobeys, they must be prepared for the consequences," said Commissioner Yusri Yunus.

The Jakarta Metro Police Chief decided to dismiss Fahrul from his position because he was deemed to have violated the National Police Chief's Decree Number Mak/2/III/2020. The decree dated March 19, 2020, contains regulations on Compliance with Government Policies in Handling the Spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), which govern the dispersal of crowds to prevent the spread of the virus.

Fahrul has violated the contents of the decree by holding a reception at Hotel Mulia, Central Jakarta on March 21, 2020. Thousands of invited guests attended the event, including several police officers who served as officials during the sword ceremony on the reception night.
