Actress Bunga Zainal visited the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters in South Jakarta on Wednesday (February 5, 2025), to monitor the developments of the alleged fraud case against her. In her statement, Bunga expressed her disappointment over the slow legal process regarding the suspect in this case.
"I came here today with my lawyer to monitor and oversee my case. Currently, the status is still hanging in the balance," Bunga said when met at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters.
Bunga explained that the perpetrator of the fraud case has been designated as a suspect since January 15, 2025. However, despite the designation of the suspect, the perpetrator has not yet been detained. Bunga expressed her astonishment at the reasons behind this decision and felt the need to be present in person to ensure the progress of her case.
"So I came to oversee this case until the suspect was really established and detained," emphasized this mother of two.
When asked about the reason for the suspect not being detained, Bunga said that the reason she heard was that the suspect was ill. However, according to her, if they are indeed sick, there should be official evidence accompanying it.
"If the reason is illness, back in school if I was sick I would definitely have a sick note. Attach the sick note, and if they are really sick, they should be hospitalized," she said firmly.
Bunga also expressed her frustration because she feels the suspect still appears to be active despite claiming to be ill. This made her question how serious the suspect's health condition really is.
"If you're sick, not dying, still able to walk, still able to communicate, and still able to work, it means it's not serious," he added.
In addition, Bunga mentioned that she had heard news that the suspect would appear to respond to the police summons on the same day. However, she did not intend to meet or communicate directly with the suspect in the examination area.
"The first call was for the reason of being sick, and it's not wrong to come today and still be inside. I don't want to socialize inside; I just want to know if it's true that they came or not," she said with a hopeful tone.
