Called Unethical, Warkopi Asserts They Have Asked for Permission from Indro and Warkop DKI Institution

Kapanlagi.com - Three viral young men, Dimas, Alfred, and Asep, who resemble the legendary comedy group Dono, Kasino, Indro under Patria TV, finally clarified their statement regarding Indro Warkop's remarks. This was stated by Ali Juys, who emphasized that not everything Indro said was true.

He mentioned that long before all activities and content from Warkopi on the Patria TV channel were uploaded to the public, they had contacted Indro and the Warkop DKI institution to ask for permission. They did this to get guidance from the relevant parties to use the image of the legendary comedy group Warkop DKI.

"We want to clarify a little, regarding the unethical language or words and not asking for permission, we want to clarify that, so that there is no more negative stigma. Regarding the without permission, it is not one hundred percent true, because Patria TV has made contact first long before, but it was not quickly responded to, so we have asked," said Ali Juys when met in Sawangan, West Java, on Friday (24/9) afternoon.

"Even before Warkopi first appeared, we gave the video to someone we considered to be the closest person to Mr. Indro so that they could be directed because they used the image of Warkop DKI," he added.

When it went viral, Warkopi received a surprising response from Indro Warkop. However, according to them, it happened because maybe what he had expressed did not fully reach Indro.

"But because of certain reasons, it may not have been conveyed properly, so that's why Indro acted that way," he said.

Ali also said that Warkopi and Patria TV understood Indro's concerns. Therefore, they emphasized that they had already asked for permission but did not receive clarity and clear guidance.

"We understand Indro's concerns, but if it is said to be unethical, we have asked for permission but the reasons are unclear, not concrete, we are not clearly directed," he said.
