Kapanlagi.com - On February 22, 2022, Nadine Chandrawinata gave birth to her first child with Dimas Anggara. The baby girl was given a unique name, Nadi Djiwa Anggara.

As known, from the beginning, Nadine Chandrawinata and Dimas Anggara did not want to know the gender of their future child. Therefore, since the fourth month of pregnancy, the couple chose a universal name.

"The name was prepared before she was born. We chose a name that could be used for both boys and girls. Because we didn't know the gender," said Nadine quoted by KapanLagi.com during a virtual conference via Zoom on Tuesday (1/3).

The choice of the name Nadi Djiwa Anggara apparently has its own story. For Nadi, both Nadine Chandrawinata and Dimas Anggara apparently like the concept of nadi as the muscular blood vessels that pump blood from the heart to the whole body.

"His first name is Nadi, we like the philosophy of nadi as the life force. So, well, it turns out that Nadi can also be interpreted as an abbreviation of Nadine-Dimas," said Nadine.

2. Meaning of the Name Djiwa

As for Djiwa, it is related to a fictional character that was once imagined by Dimas Anggara. Because the name is good, Nadine Chandrawinata agreed to use that name as their child's nickname.

"The name Djiwa has its own meaning for us, specifically for Dimas. So Dimas has a story about the journey of someone who wants to be turned into a work of art. And Dimas has an image of the character named Djiwa. Well, when we were already four months pregnant and discussing names, both me and Dimas agreed with that name. So we decided on the name Djiwa," explained Nadine at length.

3. Accompany Nadine During Childbirth

The birth of Nadi Djiwa Anggara brings great joy to Dimas Anggara. When he saw his child for the first time, he was confused about how to express his happiness.

"I am happy with the birth of our first child. I can't explain how happy I am. During childbirth, I was allowed to accompany Nadine by the hospital. So I know the process. The process is extraordinary, very exciting," Dimas explained on the same occasion.

4. Giving Birth in Bali

Nadine and Dimas gave birth in the city of Bali. The choice of Bali was unintentional because they happened to have been traveling by land recently.

"Nadine gave birth via caesarean section. The baby's length is 49 centimeters, weighing 2.9 kilos. Giving birth in Bali was not intentional. It happened to be faster in Bali. If it took longer, it could have been in Mandalika," Dimas explained.
