Catherine Wilson Still Communicates with Idham Mase Despite Filing for Divorce

Kapanlagi.com - After Idham Mase's divorce petition was rejected by the South Jakarta Religious Court, now it is Catherine Wilson who has filed for divorce from her husband.

Catherine Wilson has filed for divorce with the Religious Court of Depok, West Java at the end of 2023 to end her marriage with Idham.

"The main objectives are two points, first to separate amicably. Second, to avoid any disputes between the plaintiff and the defendant," said Dody Haryanto, Catherine Wilson's lawyer at the Religious Court of Depok, West Java, on Wednesday (10/1/2024).

"Third, the household is no longer sustainable according to Catherine as the plaintiff because they are already living on separate islands," he added.

1. Living Separately

Dody also mentioned that Idham lives in Sulawesi due to his duties as a member of the Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) in Sidrap, South Sulawesi. Meanwhile, Catherine lives and works in Depok and Jakarta.

"Filing a lawsuit is because their lives are already separated. Catherine is in Jakarta, her husband is a legislator in Sulawesi, a member of the council," he said.

"Well, maybe they have their own busyness and finally agreed on how Catherine returned to her parents' house in Depok and Mr. Idham is still in Sulawesi," he added.

2. Still Maintaining Communication

However, Catherine and Idham still maintain good communication, indicating that their relationship is not completely severed even though the divorce process is ongoing.

"The communication between the plaintiff and the defendant is still in a normal state, the marital bond is still ongoing," he said.

"This means that the relationship between the defendant and the plaintiff is not severed. They still frequently ask about each other's health, the communication is not passive, they are still actively communicating," he concluded.
