Caught in Alleged Embezzlement Case of Rp 1.1 Billion, David NOAH Fails to Fulfill Police Summons

Kapanlagi.com - The Jakarta Metropolitan Police has scheduled David Kurnia Albert Dorfel, also known as David NOAH, along with two of his colleagues, to undergo questioning in a case of alleged fraud and embezzlement, on Friday morning (20/8/2021).

However, unfortunately, David and his two colleagues have not shown up. According to the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Pol. Yusri Yunus, David, through his legal representative, canceled his attendance with the reason of not receiving an invitation to come to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police.

"The interview invitation was scheduled for today. But according to his lawyer, they said they have not received the invitation letter," said Yusri Yunus.

Yusri expressed his regret for David and his two colleagues' absence. However, he does not make an issue out of their absence.

1. Promise to Return Money in 3-6 Months

"Yes, it's okay if he doesn't come. But we hope he comes because it's actually better for the accused if invited. He can defend himself," he said.

As is known, the case began when David and his two friends asked for help from Lina Yunita as the informant to fund a shipbuilding operational project at his company, PT A, in 2019 worth IDR 1.15 billion. David and his two friends promised to return the money in 3-6 months with the guarantee of two cash checks.

However, David and his two friends were considered to have broken their promise. The money has not been returned.

As a result, David and his two friends were reported to the Jakarta Metro Police. The report against David is registered with Number: LP/B/3761/VII/2021/SPKT Jakarta Metro Police, dated August 5, 2021. David and his friend were reported under Article 372 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) and Article 378 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP).

The report has now entered the investigation stage.
