Causing Debate, Dorce Gamalama Buried as a Man

Kapanlagi.com - Presenter Dorce Gamalama passed away at RSPP Simprug on Wednesday (16/2/2022). The 58-year-old presenter was planned to be buried at TPU Bantar Jati, Bambu Apus, East Jakarta.

This was conveyed by the administrator of Masjid Al Hayyu, Ustaz Anan Muhajir. He stated that Dorce Gamalama was buried at TPU Bantar Jati according to the family's wishes.

"Later, it will be stacked with his cousin's grave," said Anan Muhajir at Masjid Al Hayyu, Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (16/2/2022).

Before being buried, Anan said, Dorce's body was prayed for at Al Hayyu Mosque. The mosque that Dorce built since 2008.

"So that Dorce's mother is happy to be prayed for at the mosque she built since 2008," he said.

2. Burial Process

Regarding the burial process itself, Dorce Gamalama had requested to be buried as a woman. Dorce's wish had caused pros and cons. Considering that Dorce himself was born as a man.

"Being buried as a woman, we leave it all to Allah. It's just his wish, who takes care of all of us," said Anan.

However, Anan explained that Dorce will be buried as a man according to Islamic law.

"We all know how he was born, so we return to the original. Because what matters is we see his faith in Allah SWT, I don't see anything else first," Anan Muhajir concluded.

Previously, Dorce Gamalama was reported to have left a message to be buried as a woman. This is because Dorce felt that she had become a woman after undergoing surgery.

"After the operation, I became a woman. Yes, I have female genitals. Bathe me in women's clothing, as a woman," she said.
