Ayu, as Chef Aiko's manager, also recounted the beginning of Chef Aiko's introduction to Syifa Mila until she became the makeup artist at Chef Aiko's wedding.
"Initially, she was a makeup artist in Pontianak because I had a job with Aiko there. So, the organizer introduced us, and we started chatting," said Ayu when contacted by the media on Sunday (10/1).
"Aiko, even though she is a chef, she also likes makeup and asks about the products. So, our friendship was only until that point. Until Aiko asked her to come to Jakarta to do makeup for the wedding, and she agreed," she continued.
Currently, the evacuation and search for victims are still ongoing, Chef Aiko also helps her husband Syifa Mila, namely Yudi, while in Jakarta.
"They are newlyweds too, not too long ago, so they are still in their honeymoon phase. We know that their feelings are definitely shattered, and her husband still hopes that miracles still exist, and we won't break that, anything can happen. Let's see what happens in the next few days," said Ayu.
"But what I know is that Yudi is strong, he said, 'If I go to Jakarta, I will contact Chef Aiko,' we are ready to accompany him. Because this is a disaster, if we only provide physical support, we can't help. Because he also doesn't have any relatives in Jakarta," she concluded.
