The counter-suit worth Rp938 million from Indra Aditya Rahim seems to be the peak of disappointment for Chikita Meidy in her marriage. This fantastic demand made her feel that for nine years of building a household, she was only seen as a financial source or "ATM machine" by her own husband.

That feeling of heartbreak was expressed by Chikita after undergoing her divorce hearing at the Tigaraksa Religious Court recently. She couldn't believe that a husband who should provide for her would dare to counter-sue for money that is mostly the result of her hard work.

For him, the demand is clear evidence that he has been financially exploited. "This is the first time I know that a wife can be sued for Rp900 million, which means she knows I can afford it. And indeed, it means that for the past 9 years, Indra, you have only used me as an ATM. Yes, as acknowledged by her in the evidence of verbal abuse," said Chikita.

Chikita considers this demand as an attempt to extort him and his family. He accuses there is ill intent behind the request for the return of the house down payment and mortgage installments, considering he also contributed to the payments. His disappointment deepens as he feels that his sacrifices have not been appreciated.

"So maybe from this demand, he hopes to extort me and my family, sharing with his lawyer, sharing with the women he supports," he said.

This former child singer also mentioned the moment when she stopped providing financial support, her husband even called her useless. This further strengthened her belief that her presence in the marriage was only valued as long as her "ATM" was wide open.

"When I stopped my ATM, he said I was useless. So he said to stop being Cikita's ATM. Stop being Cikita's ATM," she said.
