Choosing to Be Authentic, Abidzar Al Ghifari Refuses to be Seen as a Fake Actor

Timo's role is acknowledged to be very challenging for the son of the late Ustaz Jeffry Al Buchori. Because the role played is different from previous acting projects.

"To delve into the role, it took a considerable amount of time in the reading process. Because my character changed 180 degrees from the character in previous series or films. But in the end, it wasn't that difficult because there was support from the cast involved in this series. There was also direction from the director that was easy to understand," said Abi via Zoom as quoted by KapanLagi.com, on Wednesday (5/1/2022).

1. No Problem

Portraying a young smoker and engaging in casual sex is not a burden for Abidzar Al Ghifari. Especially because the scenes depicted do not go beyond reasonable limits.

"Actually, it's not a problem to act in such scenes because it's also not too far from the boundaries. As for smoking, I do smoke," said the young man who is starting to become interested in the field of acting.

2. Don't Want to be Considered Fake

Furthermore, Abidzar Al Ghifari always tries to appear as he is, both on social media and behind the camera's spotlight. Because he doesn't want to be seen as a fake actor.

"I'm not someone who cares a lot about my image out there, especially on social media. I don't want people to know that I'm fake. I am who I am," said the second child out of four siblings firmly.

3. Suicide Act

Serial WHY ME? tells the story of a student's suicide during an online class. The members of The Circle gang suddenly panic because they suspect that their bullying actions may have caused this desperate act.

Apart from Abidzar Al Ghifari, this series also stars Susan Sameh, Aisyah Aqilah, Agnes Naomi, Omara Esteghlal, and Bisma Kharisma. The six-episode series will be available for streaming on Vidio starting from January 7, 2022.
