Chronology of Alvin Faiz and Larissa Chou's Love Journey, Asked to Marry Quickly - Now on the Verge of Divorce Due to Cheating Allegations

The love journey of Alvin Faiz and Larissa Chou until they became husband and wife can be said to be not easy. They met through the internet in 2015, where Larissa, a girl of Chinese descent, asked for Alvin's help to learn more about Islam.

Long story short, Larissa decided to become a Muslim. One year after getting to know each other through the internet, guided directly by Alvin Faiz, the beautiful woman recited the two sentences of the shahada.

In a segment on the Brownis Trans TV show (01/08/19), after guiding Larissa to embrace Islam, Alvin admitted that he was impressed. However, at that time, he did not think of marrying a woman who was 3 years older than him.

Unexpectedly, almost at the same time, Alvin's father, the late Ustaz Arifin Ilham, asked Alvin to get married. "It wasn't my decision (to get engaged), Abi asked for it. At the age of 17, I thought it was impossible to think about marriage. But I always believe that Abi's decision is the best," he said.

According to Alvin's confession, during a religious gathering attended by thousands of congregants, his father asked him to get married and only gave him 30 minutes to think. "The process did indeed happen quickly, not a week (to think). Even though marriage is not a trivial process," Alvin explained.

After agreeing to his father's request, the engagement was held in the afternoon. The event was simple, like a typical meeting of two families. It didn't take long for Larissa Chou's family to accept Alvin Faiz's proposal.

Their second marriage was officially held on August 6, 2016. Before finally tying their love story, Alvin had to go through various trials in the Religious Court and state his reason for getting married because he was still 17 years old at that time.

Alvin Faiz and Larissa Chou were once an icon of young married couples who were highly admired by teenagers of their age at that time. They looked very harmonious, and their happiness was complete after the birth of their child named Yusuf Alvin Ramadhan on June 9, 2017.

After five years of marriage, there were hardly any scandalous rumors in Alvin and Larissa's married life. Until finally, on May 18, 2021, Alvin wrote a 'signal' that his marriage with Larissa would come to an end. He uploaded a wedding photo and added a sticker that said The End.

Their marriage, which began with a request for taaruf from the late ustaz Arifin Ilham, suddenly hit a snag after Larissa Chou filed for divorce in the religious court on May 20, 2021. 

Initially, the public expressed their disappointment with Larissa's decision to file for divorce from Alvin Faiz. Until finally, news broke through Larissa's Instastory, which was directed to her 'close friend'. Larissa accused Alvin of being irresponsible and committing adultery with another woman in 2019.

If initially they decided to separate amicably, the turmoil in their marriage is now escalating like a hot ball after Alvin's mother, Umi Yuni, spoke out about the 'disease' suffered by Larissa Chou. Not accepting this, Larissa spoke out and called it all slander to bring her down.
