Chronology of Donny Fattah's Passing, Experienced Stress Seeing Other Patients Die in ICU

Kapanlagi.com - The music world in the country is mourning again. Donny Fattah, the legendary bassist and founder of the band God Bless, has passed away. Iman Fattah, the late musician's son, recounts the chronology of the last moments of his father before he took his last breath.

According to Iman, his father's health had indeed declined over the past year, where Donny had difficulty moving due to illness. The peak occurred two days before his death, when the family decided to take him to the Emergency Room (ER) because his condition worsened.

"If the long chronology is summarized, the point is that for the past year Dad has had difficulty moving due to illness. But as for the chronology leading up to his death, we brought him to the ER two days ago," he said after the funeral at TPU Kampung Kandang, Ciganjur, South Jakarta, Saturday (07/03/2026).

The illness suffered by Donny is quite complex. In addition to having a history of heart bypass surgery and stent placement, he was also diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. This complication is believed to be the main cause of the musician's declining physical condition.

1. Complex Condition and Experienced Psychological Pressure

After receiving intensive care in the ICU, Donny's condition showed some improvement. Iman recounted that his father was still able to communicate and respond well after being given oxygen assistance. However, mentally, Donny experienced some pressure while in the intensive care unit.

"Because he also experienced stress when he was taken to the ICU, there were, if I’m not mistaken, two people who died not far from where he was. So he saw the condition... so there was some mental stress as well," Iman revealed.

2. Critical Condition on Saturday Morning

The critical condition occurred on Saturday morning when Iman received an emergency call from the hospital. He was asked to come immediately because his father's condition had drastically deteriorated. Unfortunately, fate had other plans, as Donny Fattah was declared dead shortly after Iman arrived at the hospital.

"Then suddenly this morning around half past eight I got a call, saying I had to come because his condition was said to be declining. Then when I arrived around eleven, they had already started pumping him," he said sadly.

Donny Fattah was buried at TPU Kampung Kandang, Ciganjur, South Jakarta. This location was chosen because it is close to the grave of his brother-in-law and other family relatives, as well as the ease of managing the burial
