Ustaz Derry Sulaiman stated that the accusation cannot be proven true because it is only a one-sided claim. This defense is not without reason. Ustaz Derry claimed to have received a recording of a conversation between Mondy and one of his relatives, and at that moment Mondy admitted that he was lying.

"What evidence is there for the accusation of harassment, what is the evidence? And now there is no evidence at all, only a one-sided confession," said Ustaz Derry Sulaiman, quoted via insertlive, Monday (25/09/2023).

"I actually have no problem (with Mondy), if she is a victim then we will defend her. But after she did the podcast, she confided in the leader of punk hidayah, Bang Zet. Bang Zet sent a screenshot of their chat showing that she was lying," continued the former guitarist of the band Betrayer.
