The Indonesian Attorney General's Office has declared Harvey Moeis, husband of Sandra Dewi, as a suspect in a tin corruption case. Harvey Moeis' status has been elevated from a witness to a suspect based on the evidence already possessed by the investigators.

"The investigators believe that there is sufficient evidence to elevate his status to that of a suspect, namely Mr. HM as the extended arm of PT RBT," said Kuntadi, the Director of Investigation at the Attorney General's Office, quoted from Merdeka.com.
After being examined as a witness, the Attorney General's Office then upgraded Harvey's status to a suspect based on the evidence already possessed by the investigator.
Harvey Moeis will be detained for the next 20 days at the Salemba Detention Center, South Jakarta State Prosecutor's Office.
Harvey Moeis's role as the 16th suspect in a case that caused state losses due to environmental damage amounting to Rp271.06 trillion.
"Around 2018 to 2019, Mr. HM contacted the President Director of PT Timah, namely Mr. MRPT alias RZ, in order to accommodate illegal mining activities in the PT Timah IUP area," said Kuntadi.
After several meetings, it was finally agreed that the illegal tin mining activities would be covered by renting tin smelting processing equipment.
Next, Harvey Moeis contacted several smelters, namely PT SIP, CV VIP, PT SPS, and PT Tim, to participate in the intended activities.
For his actions, Harvey Moeis is charged with violating Article 2 paragraph (1), Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) clause 1 of the Criminal Code.
