Cita Rahayu Reports to Police Over Alleged Unpleasant Act

Dangdut singer Cita Rahayu, previously known by the stage name Cita Citata, visited the South Jakarta Metro Police to follow up on the legal issues she is facing, on Monday (29/12/2025). Her visit this time aims to oversee the report regarding the alleged unpleasant act she experienced at a shopping center some time ago.

This issue began from an incident in the Pondok Indah area that made the artist feel morally harmed. The incident reportedly occurred in February 2025 at a renowned restaurant, but was only reported in July of the same year.

"First of all, regarding the incident at the restaurant, I was a witness because I was at the scene (TKP) and also a consumer at that restaurant," said Cita Rahayu when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Monday (29/12/2025).

The legal counsel for Cita Rahayu, Sunan Kalijaga, who accompanied her, explained that this report is a form of legal resistance against the act of assault.According to Sunan, his client did not just witness the commotion, but also felt the direct impact of the intimidation carried out by the perpetrator at the location. The focus of their report is the unpleasant action that disrupted Cita's comfort.

"What our client, Mrs. Cita Rahayu, is reporting at this time is an unpleasant act, where at the time of the assault experienced by the victim, who is Cita's friend, our client also experienced the same thing," said Sunan Kalijaga. In his statement, Cita Rahayu expressed her gratitude to her legal counsel for paying special attention to this case.

Cita deeply regrets the behavior of the perpetrator, which is considered to have exceeded reasonable limits, especially because there was a small child involved in the incident. She feels the need to speak out for the justice of her friend and also for the toddler who became a victim of bad behavior. "I personally thank Mr. Sunan who has become our legal representative, who remarkably has empathy and sympathy. Again, this concerns a small child who was being carried and was even spat on," said Cita Rahayu.

Although the report has been filed since July, Cita Rahayu's side feels that the progress of its handling has not shown satisfactory results. Sunan Kalijaga also questioned the effectiveness of the investigators' performance regarding his client's report.

They approached the police station to request clarification on why this case seems to be stagnant over the past few months. "There hasn't been any significant development for the past few months. Therefore, today we want to ask directly if there are any specific obstacles from the investigators," said Sunan Kalijaga.

Sunan also provided the latest information that the suspected perpetrator has actually been designated as a suspect. However, the issue is the absence of the suspect despite having received official summons from the police twice.

"The latest update, we also received information that the person we suspect of the attack has been designated as a suspect. However, we are questioning the South Jakarta Metro Police because reportedly the individual has been summoned as a suspect twice but still has not appeared," he said.
