Clara Bernadeth Confused About Playing the Role of a Pregnant Mother

"Actually, I've played this character as a pregnant mother several times before, I don't know why I always get pregnant roles. So it's not that difficult," said Clara Bernadeth when met at XXI Senayan City, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (20/6).

However, what is different about her role this time is that Clara Bernadeth has to delve into the character of Maria who is feeling insecure due to the physical changes caused by pregnancy.

"But to get into the character of Maria herself is a bit different. Because Maria's type is already insecure, plus the hormonal changes during pregnancy make her more sensitive," said Clara Bernadeth.

"So in the end, it makes her feel like all the problems in their household with Andreas are the result of her own mistakes, feeling like she's not good enough, not pretty enough, and her insecurity shows up here," she continued.

2. Weight Change

Playing a pregnant mother, usually the actress is asked to gain weight. But this time, Clara Bernadeth didn't do it significantly. But because she likes to eat, she looks more plump.

"Actually, there is a little bit of weight gain, but because her pregnancy is still small, her weight gain is not significant. I just like to eat so I look more plump," explained Clara Bernadeth.

3. Complicated Drama

Once again collaborating with production house Screenplay Films and Anika Marani as the director, TURN ON 2 comes with a story and conflict that is increasingly complicated but also relatable to the audience. TURN ON 2 airs on Vidio starting Friday, June 23, 2023.
