Clarification from Deddy Corbuzier Regarding Interview with Siti Fadilah Considered Unauthorized

Kapanlagi.com - In one of the video podcasts uploaded on his YouTube channel, Deddy Corbuzier conducted an interview with former health minister, Siti Fadilah. Now, the video has become controversial.

Recently, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights claimed that Deddy did not have permission to interview Siti Fadilah, who is currently a convicted corruption offender.

Deddy Corbuzier finally spoke up about the allegations made against him. In a video uploaded on his Instagram a few hours ago, Deddy clarified the situation.

1. Clarification from Deddy Corbuzier

"I am Deddy Corbuzier, in this video I want to provide some information about the podcast that happened between me and Mrs. Siti Fadilah," said the 43-year-old man.

In the nearly 4-minute video, Deddy Corbuzier firmly stated that he had obtained permission. He claimed to have been directly allowed by Siti Fadilah.

2. Allowed by Siti Fadilah

"The video took place at the hospital when I visited Mrs. Siti Fadilah. And I asked for permission from Mrs. Siti Fadilah and was allowed without any coercion. Because she wants there to be information for the Indonesian people that can help our nation to quickly resolve the Covid-19 pandemic," said Deddy Corbuzier.

3. Does Not Contain Hoaxes

He also explained that all the information conveyed in his podcast does not contain any hoaxes.

"The video does not contain any hoax elements, does not contain any provocative elements at all. The video is just information for the community and our nation. To immediately end the Covid-19 pandemic," Deddy concluded.

4. 4 People Visit Siti Fadilah

Previously, the head of the Directorate General of Corrections at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Rika Aprianti, said that there were 4 guests who had visited Siti Fadilah's ward at RSPAD.

"That at 9:30 PM, there were 4 people (2 men, 2 women) who entered Siti Fadilah's ward wearing masks. And one of them was wearing a head cover from a jacket and carrying a backpack. One of them is Deddy Corbuzier," said Rika as quoted from Kumparan.com.

5. Violate This Rule

Quoted from Tempo.co, Deddy Corbuzier is considered to have violated the Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the Management and Service of Information and Documentation at the Directorate General of Corrections, Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, and Correctional Facilities, October 2011.

If he wants to conduct an interview, Deddy must obtain permission from Ditjenpas first. "Article 28 (1) states that coverage for the purpose of providing information and documentation must obtain written permission from Ditjenpas," said Rika.
