Comedian Qomar Reveals His Mistake, Feels Guilty about the Late Jimmy Gideon

Kapanlagi.com - Comedian Nurul Qomar admits to having unforgettable memories with the late Jimmy Gideon. In fact, he still feels a burden of regret towards Jimmy.

"Because personally, I also feel responsible for the downfall of Gideon Group. When in the 90s, I took Derry and Ginanjar to form the comedy group 4 Sekawan, Gideon Group eventually stumbled. I feel guilty," said Qomar at TPU Bojong Nangka, Tangerang, on Monday (27/12/2021).

Not only that, Qomar also regrets his past when he left the comedy group Tom Tam to form the 4 Sekawan group.

"When I left Tom Tam group, where Jimmy Gideon's sibling was there, they also stumbled," he said.

1. Already Apologized

Fortunately, Qomar said that he had already apologized to Jimmy for the guilty feeling that burdened him. However, before they could meet, Jimmy had passed away.

"I have apologized to Jimmy over the phone and there was a plan for a meeting between the comedy group 4 sekawan, comedians Tom Tam group and Gideon Grup," he said.

2. Accompanying the Body to the Resting Place

Therefore, as a form of respect, he accompanied Jimmy Gideon's body to his final resting place.

"That's why on this last day, I accompany Jimmy Gideon, our comedian friend, to the funeral, this final place, hopefully with a good ending," he said.

Jimmy Gideon passed away at the age of 58 on Sunday, December 26, 2021. The deceased left behind a wife, Ana Khasanah, and five children named Roberto, Alberto, Zela, Lumberto, and Limverto.

3. Chronology of the Comedian's Death

His wife, Ana Hasanah, revealed that the late Jimmy Gideon did have a history of diabetes. However, Ana believes that the disease was not the cause of her husband's death.

"There is diabetes, but it doesn't affect," she said.

Ana Hasanah continued, before Jimmy Gideon passed away, he had fallen in his room in the evening.

"He fell after Maghrib prayer, there was no Isya prayer anymore. So he took a shower and put on clothes, then fell forward. He fell in the room, not in the bathroom," she said.

4. Head Injury

As a result of the fall, Jimmy Gideon's right forehead became swollen and blood came out. At that time, Ana was waiting for her children to come home. Before he could be taken to the hospital, Jimmy Gideon took his last breath.

"Swollen on the right forehead and blood coming out. He (the late) looked dazed, his eyes were open, but he couldn't speak. After that, I called my younger sister," Ana said.

"When he returned to the room, his voice sounded like snoring. Not long after, he fell asleep and was gone," she said.

5. After the Departure of the Late

From observations, Jimmy's body, which was brought by an ambulance, arrived at Bojong Nangka Cemetery at 12.58 WIB followed by a procession of mourners. Several fellow artists such as H. Komar, Derry Sudarisman, Ginanjar, and Eman were present at the funeral.

During the burial process, Jimmy's son was seen going down into the grave to accompany his father's body to its final resting place.

The recitation of the Adhan and Iqamah could be heard from inside the grave before the red soil finally covered the deceased's body. After the comedian's grave was covered with soil, the family performed a flower scattering ceremony, followed by a prayer.
